Ireland is set to be battered with some awful conditions over the coming few days as heavy rain moves across the country and temperatures fall into the early teens.
Met Eireann has said Ulster, Connacht and north Leinster will see the worst of the conditions, with heavy rainfall likely.
However, things look set to improve just in time for the bank holiday weekend as the weather becomes warmer once again and rain clears into the Irish Sea.
A forecaster said: “The weather models showing mixed week ahead with sunny spells and light showers and temperatures slowly rising. They also show a chance of a nice bank holiday weekend now! Too far out yet to be sure but promising looking.”
They added: “Next weekend looks good at present”.
