Ireland looks set to be in for one last good spell of summer sun before the return to school in September but not before a mixed week.
The last few days of August and the first couple of days in September look set to be warm with above average temperatures - but just how hot it will get remains to be seen.
But the coming week will not be quite as nice, while it will feel warm and we will get lots of sunny periods, rain will hamper plans throughout.

A Met Eireann forecaster said: "Most places will be dry today with just isolated showers and sunny spells. However, it will be cloudier near southern and southeastern coasts for much of the morning and afternoon with patchy rain and drizzle. Highest temperatures of 16 to 21 degrees, coolest in the northwest, in a light southwesterly or variable breeze.
"A dull and wet start to Monday with widespread outbreaks of rain, turning heavy in some places. The rain will gradually clear northeastwards through the day, with sunny spells and scattered showers following from the west. Highest temperatures of 18 to 22 degrees in light to moderate westerly winds.
"Changeable for much of the coming week with showers or spells of rain most days. Temperatures remaining around normal."
But it's the week after this that could see the late blast of summer, the forecaster said: "High pressure looks set to be a significant influence on Ireland’s weather as we move towards early September. It looks set to become quite settled with below average rainfall forecast nationwide, driest across the west and north of the country. Mean air temperatures are forecast to be slightly above normal."
