Ireland is set to see an end to the heavy rainfall this weekend as a band of hot air moves up towards the South of the country.
Met Eireann has predicted sunny spells with an occasional shower to kick off the weekend as temperatures remain high.
An expert has indicated that things could heat up even further as a blast of hot air covers the South of England, reaching up to 30C.

The forecaster said: "Latest weather models showing that brief blast of hot air pushing up from the South towards end of next week with chance of warm temperatures Thursday and Friday. Subject to change though and could just miss us but bring near 30c to London!"

Today
Today will be breezy with sunny spells and occasional showers, heaviest and most frequent in Ulster and Connacht, with some possibility of hail. Showers be isolated in the southeast.
Highest temperatures of 14 to 18 degrees with fresh, gusty west to southwest winds.
There will be clear spells and some further showers tonight, mainly in the west and north.
Lowest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees with moderate westerly breezes.
Sunday, June 12
Sunday will bring good sunny spells and some scattered showers. The showers will be mainly over the country's northern half and will be lighter than on previous days.
Rainfall will be lighter and more scattered than previous days, with good dry and bright or sunny spells.
Highest temperatures of 14 to 18 degrees with a fresh westerly breeze, decreasing moderate later.
Mainly dry on Sunday night with a few showers in western areas and varying cloud cover. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees with winds easing light.
Monday, June 13
Monday will bring a lot of dry weather with just well scattered showers. Cloud cover will vary with some brighter spells at times.
Highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees with a moderate southwest breeze.
A spell of rain looks likely to move into the northwest on Monday night.
Tuesday, June 14
Tuesday will be mostly cloudy with outbreaks of rain or drizzle over Connacht and Ulster.
The wet weather is currently predicted to become more widespread across the country on Tuesday night and for Wednesday, with brighter drier conditions set to follow later on Wednesday.
Current indications suggest rather changeable conditions for the further outlook but with generally improving temperatures.
