Ireland is due to be hit by thunderstorms today that include plenty of rain and lightning.
While there has been plenty of rain shower so far, there's more to come tonight as a yellow warning remains in place. Met Eireann has it in place until 10pm tonight.

Lightningmaps.org not only highlights Ireland but shows lightning strikes worldwide so you can keep an eye on other countries too should you wish. And it will show you how many strikes there have been in an area at any one time, or you can even just watch as it happens.
Here's the forecast for the rest of the evening and tonight according to Met Eireann:
Scattered showers for the rest of today, some heavy with a chance of thunderstorms and spot flooding, especially across the north-midlands and northwest. Warm and humid with some late evening sunshine in parts too, all with just light variable breezes.
