A hurricane in the Atlantic is expected to swing sharply eastward and make its way towards Ireland over the weekend.
Hurricane Martin's projected path shows it is currently heading towards Greenland but it will change course and loop towards Ireland, Iceland and Scotland.
It will pass close to the north of the country on Sunday however, it will not make landfall in Ireland and its main impact on our weather will be to bring more rain and showers.
