Ireland is set to see record breaking heat today as temperatures could rise to 33 degrees in two counties.
Met Eireann has confirmed that while the country will continue to sizzle in the heat today, Sunday will see a break in the good conditions.
A forecaster said: "Risk of heavy thundery showers Sunday evening into Monday, also showers early next week as temperatures drop well back. A lot of uncertainty after midweek, though with GFS showing an improving trend with pressure rising but ECMWF not in agreement. Wait and see for Tullow Show day."

However, before the change comes, high temperature records are expected to be smashed again in both Carlow and Kilkenny today.
A forecaster said: "The August record could be short lived as the HARMONIE model shows up to 33c tomorrow around Carlow and Kilkenny. Certainly potential for another record breaking temperature."
A Status Yellow High Temperature warning for Ireland will also remain in place until 6am Monday with very warm or hot conditions on Saturday and Sunday with maximum temperatures generally of 27 to 30 degrees and locally higher.
It will be warm overnight, with minimum temperatures generally around 15 degrees in many areas.
Temperatures may not be as high in coastal areas due to sea breezes, particularly in the northwest.
Here is a more detailed look at Met Eireann's forecast.
Today, August 13
Today will be hot and sunny with highest temperatures of 26 to 31 degrees, locally higher in parts of Leinster and Munster.
Some cloud will bubble up in the afternoon, and there will be a chance of an isolated thundershower.
Most areas will have a light northeasterly wind, but there will be a sea breeze, which will keep temperatures slightly lower near coasts.
Tonight will be warm, with temperatures staying above 14 to 19 degrees.
Most areas will be dry with clear spells, but a few showers will develop in Ulster and Connacht, and some of these may be heavy. Winds will be light and variable, and mist and fog patches will develop.
Sunday, August 14
Tomorrow will be another hot day with temperatures reaching 25 to 30 degrees, although it won't be as hot in the north and northwest.
Most parts of the country will be dry and sunny during the morning, but there will be a few showers in northern areas, possibly heavy.
Throughout the afternoon and evening, scattered heavy and thundery showers will develop across the country.
Slow-moving downpours are possible, causing spot flooding. Winds will be light and variable.

Early in the night, there will be mostly dry and clear conditions, but cloud and showers will move into the west and southwest and will spread northeastwards across much of the country overnight.
Some heavy and thundery falls are possible early on. There will be light northerly or variable winds.
Monday, August 15
Showery rain will continue to move northeastwards across the country on Monday morning. This will be followed by scattered showers and occasional sunny breaks from the southwest.
The showers are likely to be heavy in Munster and south Leinster, with a chance of thunder, so spot flooding is possible.
