Get your sunscreen ready as Ireland is set to sizzle on the hottest day of the year so far.
A weather expert has revealed that temperatures could hit a scorching 24 degrees in parts of the country this week. Weather Alerts Ireland said on Facebook: "Temperatures are going to rise later this week and the ECMWF model is forecasting temperatures rising as high as 23 or even 24 degrees in some parts of the South East!
"High pressure is forecast to dominate our weather this week into next week. A cracking weekend coming up also with lots of sun and temperatures into the low twenties!"

Dubliners will wake up to a lovely dry morning with sunny spells and the highest temperatures of 17 to 19 degrees. Tonight will be dry too with long, clear spells and the lowest temperatures of 6 to 10 degrees.
Tomorrow will be another dry day with good sunny spells and the temperatures of 18 to 21 degrees. There is no further forecast but here's what Met Eireann's national outlook says:
Thursday night
"Dry with long clear spells. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 10 degrees, coolest in Ulster, in light north to northeast breezes.
Friday
"Dry with good spells of sunshine. Highest temperatures of 18 to 22 degrees generally, slightly cooler near coasts. Winds will be light easterly or variable.
Friday night
"Dry again with clear spells overnight. Temperatures not falling below 6 to 11 degrees in light easterly or variable breezes, falling calm at times.
Saturday and Sunday
"Current indications suggest that it will continue predominately dry over the weekend with good sunny spells at times. Some cloudier conditions will develop at times with the chance of isolated spots of light rain or drizzle. Highest temperatures of 18 to 22 or 23 degrees in light breezes."
