A weather expert has sounded the alarm about the next few days - with models showing that almost 100mm of rain could fall across the country.
We already know that Monday will be fairly bad, and not just because it's the scariest day of the year (Halloween).
That's because Met Éireann landed in on Sunday afternoon with a status yellow weather warning, alerting the public to the possibility of flooding and disruption thanks to heavy rainfall throughout the day.
However, there's worse news in store as we head into November.
Tuesday isn't too good either, with Met Eireann predicting more rain, noting that some of the showers will be "heavy and thundery in the west and northwest, but there will be a good deal of dry weather elsewhere."
The poor western half of the island continues to take a pelting on Wednesday - and it's then where weather expert Alan O'Reilly has chimed in with a grim prediction.
Using the latest models available to him, he showed his social media followers just how bad things might get.
Carlow Weather, his account, tweeted: "Total rainfall forecast for next 7 days from two main weather models, over 100mm possible in West
"A risk of stormy conditions Wednesday but details a little uncertain yet." he followed it up with.
Met Eireann has put a status yellow weather warning for every county on Monday, which reads: "heavy rain on Monday (Halloween) will lead to localised flooding and some disruption."
The Met Office for the UK has also issued a rain warning for the six counties of Northern Ireland for similar hours.
The warning for Ireland kicks in at 6am on Monday and lasts until midnight on Tuesday, with the Northern Ireland warning is valid from 7am until 10pm.
