The pressure is on France in the Six Nations finale after Ireland fulfilled their job on Super Saturday in Dublin.
Andy Farrell’s side leapfrogged Grand Slam chasers Les Bleus ahead of the latter’s ‘Le Crunch’ clash with England this evening after a dominant 26-5 bonus-point win over Scotland.
Man-of-the-match Dan Sheehan and Cian Healy both registered first-half tries for Ireland, with Scotland hitting back before the break through prop Pierre Schoeman.
However, Ireland kept up the pressure in the second period, scoring further tries courtesy of Josh van der Flier and Conor Murray, with the latter’s late score with Scotland down to 14 men sealing a deserved bonus point.
Ireland secure their first silverware since 2018 with a Triple Crown, though will also hope to be celebrating the title later on if England can do them a favour in Paris.
