Ireland v Scotland player ratings as Dan Sheehan shines in 26-5 win

Dan Sheehan was the standout performer as Ireland ran out 26-5 winners over Scotland to win the Triple Crown at the Aviva Stadium.

Here, Mirror Sport has run the rule over each individual performance in the final game of Ireland's 2022 Six Nations campaign.

HUGO KEENAN 8

Potentially vital 49th-minute try-saving tackle on Stuart Hogg to cap a superb championship.

MACK HANSEN 7

Solid return to the wing after he was left out at Twickenham. Great addition in this campaign.

GARRY RINGROSE 7

Nothing spectacular in a big midfield battle but always dependable.

BUNDEE AKI 7

Tasty exchange with Hogg before half-time. Heavily involved on both sides of the ball.

JAMES LOWE 7

Brilliant off-load for the final try. A different player than he was a year ago.

JOHNNY SEXTON 7

Took some heavy punishment - as always against the Scots - but kicked well throughout.

JAMISON GIBSON-PARK 8

Back to his sniping best here, kept the Scots guessing at scrum-time.

CIAN HEALY 8

Way more like it from the loosehead vet, capped a strong display with a try.

DAN SHEEHAN 9

What a player he is developing into. Well-taken opening try and solid lineout throws.

TADHG FURLONG 8

Relished the challenge in the loose as Ireland's scrum had a much better day out.

TADHG BEIRNE 7

The Scots are breakdown proficient and he lived off scraps, but took a nice turnover after half-time.

IAIN HENDERSON 7

Much improved from last week, when he was running on fumes.

CAELAN DORIS 7

Resumed at No 6 after playing at the back of the scrum v Italy and England. This is his best position.

JOSH VAN DER FLIER 8

Arguably Ireland's player of the championship. Scored on the hour and had the top tackle county with 17.

JACK CONAN 7

Earned his line-up return with cameo last week and brought a lot of power and dynamism to the pack.

Replacements: Dave Kilcoyne 7, Peter O'Mahony 8, Robbie Henshaw 7, Rob Herring 7, Kieran Treadwell 7, Conor Murray 7, Finlay Bealham 7, Joey Carbery 7.
