Ireland to be represented at new UEFA tournament for refugees

UEFA Champions League Ireland Refugee Austria Belgium Euro France Germany Italy Malta

Ireland will be represented at a new international friendly tournament for refugee teams this summer, UEFA has announced.

They will be joined by teams from Austria, Belgium, Germany, France, Italy, Malta and Switzerland in the Unity Euro Cup at UEFA headquarters in Nyon on June 29.

Stephen Kenny has been named as one of the tournament's eight ambassadors.
