Ireland will see temperatures touch the high 20s next week - as a weather expert warned people not to break out the "big duvet" just yet.
The country has settled again after a mixed couple of weeks which saw a mini heatwave, a record-breaking temperature of 33C before heavy rain showers and thunderstorms rolled in.
But next week, we're going to see some late-summer sunshine across the entire island, with parts of the country even touching the 30C mark again for August.
After Met Eireann's weekly outlook indicated the incoming good weather, Alan O'Reilly of Carlow Weather has expanded further, giving a cheeky tip along the way.
He said: "That nice spell of weather I mentioned on the trends looking good.
"Next week will see some nice fine weather with temperatures increasing to high twenties here in Ireland. I hope you didn’t put the big duvet back on the bed"
That's all for next week, but the weekend itself will be fairly solid as well, with temperatures hitting 22C in some regions.
Saturday morning will bring dry and sunny weather to the south and east but it will be cloudier with patchy light rain or drizzle across much of Connacht and Ulster.
It will become cloudier everywhere during the afternoon with patchy light rain or drizzle but it will become drier again by evening with some hazy sunny spells.
It will be warmest in the southeast of the country with highest temperatures hitting 16 to 21C.
Saturday night will be mostly dry with clear spells, but cloudier with patchy drizzle at times near northwest coasts and lowest temperatures of 9 to 14C.
Sunday will be dry with sunny spells on Sunday morning but it will get cloudier during the day with a few light showers before a return to sunny spells by evening.
Highest temperatures of 17 to 21C are expected with light westerly and variable breezes.
