Ireland will be hotter than Malaga this week with Met Eireann forecasting a spring scorcher.

The mercury is set to reach 18C thanks to a big area of high pressure, which is set to dominate over the coming days.

Temperatures of 18C means Ireland will be hotter than parts of the south of Spain, where Malaga is expecting highs of 15C and 16C this week, with rain also expected.
