Ireland is set to be as hot as parts of the south of France this weekend, with Met Éireann forecasting temperatures in the low 20s.
The imminent sun blast, brought on by high pressure, will see temperatures increasing as the week continues.
While this Tuesday will see a maximum temperature of 18C, Wednesday and Thursday are expected to bring highs of 19C, while Friday and Saturday mark the beginning of temperatures in the 20s.

Alan O'Reilly, of Carlow Weather, described this Tuesday as "another beautiful morning with lovely early sunshine for most."
The weather expert said clouds will increase later with "sunny spells and then a lovely evening ahead."
On Wednesday's forecast, Met Éireann said: "Mainly dry and sunny tomorrow, Wednesday, it'll become a little cloudier in the north later. Highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees in light to moderate southwest to west winds."
While the outlook is positive for the weekend, with temperatures matching that of the south of France on Saturday, the national forecaster has given an update on weather conditions for Sunday.
They said: "Predominately dry with sunny spells on Friday and Saturday. Highest temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees with light breezes.
"Current indications suggest the possibility of a little light rain on Sunday with temperatures dropping a little as a result. High pressure looks set to build again for next week."
