Ireland team announcement: When will Andy Farrell name side for France game?

On Saturday, Ireland can make it two Six Nations victories in a row when they travel to Paris to face France and boss Andy Farrell is expected to name his side for the clash on Thursday.

Ireland won comfortably against Wales in their Six Nations opener at the Aviva Stadium and will be hoping to show the same level of performance against France.

Farrell's players returned to Carton House on Monday without any new injury concerns.

After suffering a hamstring injury, Keith Earls will continue to rehab with Munster, while Rob Herring is out with a calf problem and is replaced by Dave Heffernan.

After playing for their province over the weekend, Ulster trio Michael Lowry, Robert Baloucoune, and Nick Timoney have re-joined the squad.

Mack Hansen had a fantastic debut for Ireland on Saturday and will have surely secured a starting position for Saturday's clash.

Leinster outside centre Garry Ringrose had a great game against Wales last time out and he is expected to make the same impact at the weekend.

Andrew Porter insists Ireland have the quality to take out France on their home patch in Saturday's Grand Slam eliminator.

"We're not looking at that nine in a row, you have to take everything as it comes," Porter said.

"They're an incredible team with the players they have but we're definitely more than capable to turn them over in their home patch."

The game will kick off at 4.45pm on Saturday and it will be shown live in the Republic of Ireland on Virgin Media with coverage beginning at 4pm.

Republic of Ireland residents can watch the game on the Virgin Media Player here.
