Republic of Ireland international Aaron Connolly has joined Serie B side Venezia FC on a season-long loan from Brighton and Hove Albion.
The 22-year old has struggled for game time in the Premier League over the last 18 months, spending much of last season on loan at Championship side Middlesbrough.
But the move didn't work out for the Galwegian, as he scored just two goals in 18 appearances for the club.

Brighton technical director David Weir said, “Aaron is in a position where he wants to play regularly, and this is a great opportunity for him to get games in Italy with Venezia.
“There is no doubting his ability, which he showed when he came into the team, and he has shown at the very top level.
“The challenge for him is to grasp this opportunity to continue his development, show consistency in his levels of performance and fulfil that obvious potential.”
Connolly burst onto the scene back in 2019, scoring a brace against Spurs at the beginning of the season. And while eight times capped Irish international hasn't hit those heights since, a move to Venezia who were relegated from Serie A last season, could be an opportunity for him to get his career back on track.
The Galwegian hasn't played for Stephen Kenny's Ireland since September 2021, when he was substituted off in a 1-1 home draw with Azerbaijan.
