Ireland staff 'spat at' in tense Israel clash as Nations League allegation made

A member of the Republic of Ireland’s backroom staff alleges that he was spat at during the Nations League encounter with Israel on Sunday night.

The two sides were locking horns for the second time in the space of as many weeks amid a political tension stemming from a number of off-field occurrences concerning the conflict in Gaza.
