Love/Hate’s top casting director Maureen Hughes is searching for her next big star.
Ms Hughes has been tasked with finding Ireland’s leading lady for the role of Toy Show The Musical, which opens on 10 December at The Convention Centre Dublin.
Casting call for the role of Nell has now been extended until next Wednesday as producers continue their search for the perfect young girl to play the coveted role.

Nell is a bright and brilliant 12-year-old girl with a wonderful spirit and great singing and dancing skills/
Auditionees should be between the ages of 11-16 with a playing age of 12-years-old.
Video applications for the role will now be accepted until Wednesday, 8 June. Hopefuls can apply on Toy Show The Musical's website.
The application process is very straightforward. Record a short video, fill in the application form and hit submit.
The producers said in a statement: "We are thrilled to be in a position to extend the application deadline for next week’s auditions to find Nell.
"Closing date for video applications is now Wednesday 8th June. Get taping!!! Auditions take place in Dublin on Saturday 11th June."
Toy Show The Musical’s world famous Casting Director Maureen Hughes (Once, The Butcher Boy, Love/Hate, Raw, Charlie) and show Director Séimí Campbell will be reviewing the application videos.
Maureen joined UK Casting Director Susie Figgis in 1996 to cast the lead role for Neil Jordan’s The Butcher Boy and subsequently went freelance in film and television casting.
Film credits include the low budget Irish film Once, which won an Oscar for Best Song in 2009 and Six Shooter, which won the Oscar for Best Live Short in 2006.
Other films include Wakewood with Aidan Gillen, Eva Birthistle and Timothy Spall. Television work includes Amber, Single Handed, Raw, Love/Hate and Charlie - all of which have broadcast on RTE.
Recently, she worked on Traders with emerging talent John Bradley (Game of Thrones) and Killian Scott (Calvary).
She has also worked on Paolo Sorrentino’s This Must Be The Place starring Sean Penn and Bono's daughter, Eve Hewson.
She also worked on Noble, a film starring Deirdre O Kane as Christina Noble.
Closing date for video submissions is midnight Wednesday, June 8 2022.
