Tom McKibbin became the youngest Irish winner on the DP World Tour since Rory McIlroy when he took home victory in the Porsche European Open in Hamburg on Sunday.
The 20-year-old, who is a Holywood native like McIlroy, held his nerve to card a stunning final round of 70 taking him to 9-under for the tournament, giving him the win by two strokes.
McKibbin headed to bed on Saturday night in a six-way tie for the lead and must have thought all his wildest dreams were about to come to fruition when he carded three birdies on the front nine to take the solo lead.
