The glorious weather seen across the country over the past week is to come to an abrupt end as Ireland says goodbye to the sunshine.
Anyone who has packed away their winter layers in exchange for their summer wardrobe will be in for a shock, as cold weather is set to return from the beginning of April.
People are advised to get out and enjoy the good weather while it lasts as one weather expert said the latest weather model is like "a bad April fools joke".

Alan O'Reilly wrote on his Carlow Weather Twitter account: "The latest ECMWF weather model update looks like a bad April fools joke with a real blast of cold to start April and even a risk of some wintry falls".
Met Eireann's monthly forecast predicts that the current mild weather will subside by the end of the week as with wetter and cooler conditions expected mid April.
Here is a more detailed look at the weather to come next month.
Friday 25 March to Thursday 31 March
Whilst pressure is still likely to be on the high side, especially early on in the period, it is expected to turn more changeable with temperatures reverting back to more seasonal highs, or possibly below normal later in the week.
Rainfall figures should remain below average with no significant winds expected, at least at this stage. However, the forecaster could not rule out extremes of weather at this time of year either.
Friday 01 April to Thursday 07 April
A more unsettled regime for this period with slightly wetter than average values. Low pressure will dominate and will probably lie between Iceland and Ireland, with an anticyclone dominating the Mediterranean and southern Europe.
That said, temperatures should be around normal or even slightly above average across Ireland, with a likely southwest airflow prevailing.
Friday 08 April to Thursday 14 April
Met Eireann said confidence is lower at this stage. However, there is a signal for slightly wetter and cooler than normal conditions with low pressure likely to dominate.
Friday 15 April to Thursday 21 April
Again confidence is much lower at this stage with near normal rainfall and near normal temperatures across the country.
A typical climatological average seems the most likely possible outcome at this stage.
