Ireland jobs: Firm hiring people to watch TikTok videos with €50 an hour salary but there’s a catch

A firm is looking to hire a ‘professional TikTok watcher’ with a salary of €50.56 an hour.

The chosen candidate will be expected to do a 12-hour binge on the video-sharing app, which can be completed over three days.

They will then be required to tank their top 10 favourite videos and repost them on social media.

The job application is open to anyone, including people from Ireland, but there is a catch.

Applicants must be over the age of 18 and need only apply if they “love TikTok” or “have a love-hate relationship with it”. An active social media presence is also preferred.

The job is being advertised by influencer marketing agency, Ubiquitous Influence, who will also give the chosen worker a gift basket full of goodies including a Uber Eats gift card that they can use for food while they carry out the work.

Jeremy Boudinet of Ubiquitous said: “Absolutely anyone can apply as long as they have an account on the app.

“We’re not looking for an expert or a TikTok connoisseur, we’re just looking for someone who uses the app fairly frequently and has an active social media presence of their own.”

Applications are now open via the Ubiquitous website and will close on October 20.
