Crime and data analysts will be responsible for providing information to support strategic and operational policing, combining and analysing data from multiple sources, raising awareness of trends and patterns, and more.
Successful applicants will undergo a five-week training programme which may be held in Templemore.
The job description goes on to say: "An Garda Siochana is in the process of building a data ecosystem (or a system of data value chains) that ensures the same data is used for both operational and analytical purposes, as envisaged in the Government strategy APSFF.
