Ryan Manning could be on the move next month - with Swansea manager Russell Martin revealing that the Ireland international has turned down the contract offer made by the Championship side.
Manning and teammate Joel Latibeaudiere are unlikely to sign new deals, according to Martin.
And in Manning’s case, it could force the club into action when the transfer window opens.
Both players held talks with Swansea chief executive Julian Winter and head of football operations Josh Marsh to discuss extensions.
Martin said: “The feedback is at this minute, Ryan's agent is saying it's unlikely we are going to sign the current deal he's been offered and I'm not convinced we as a club can go any further.
“I think it’s a really good deal. It’s a good deal for us.
“We have three games and then the window will open, so there will be another discussion with Josh and Julian I am sure at some point about how we deal with that.”
Martin insisted he would have no problem sticking the former Galway United man into his starting 11 on Tuesday against Reading.
“In the meantime I have got no worries about how Ryan is going to give everything,” he said.
“I thought he was excellent in the last half hour on Saturday [at Coventry], two huge goal contributions.”
