People around Ireland got to bask in some scorching weather over the June bank holiday weekend.
Nationwide the sun blasted down with everyone out in full force enjoying the good conditions that came with the start of summer.
While we might be looking forward to a few more months of sun and high temperatures, a weather expert has warned that for this weekend, there is going to be a bit of a change which may include some heavy showers.

In a post on Twitter, Alan O’Riley from Carlow Weather wrote that from Saturday, weather models start to look more unsettled, with a possible risk of heavy showers.
O’Riley wrote on his popular weather page on Twitter: “Weather models continue to show unsettled outlook from Saturday with risk of heavy showers but amounts generally don’t look too high.
“The ECMWF model also showing a chance of much warmer air moving up next week which could bring temperatures into the high twenties but uncertain yet.”
It comes amid warnings that the tail end of Storm Oscar, which gripped the Canary Islands off the Northwestern coast of Africa this Tuesday, is set to change Irish weather patterns for several days.
Meanwhile, national forecaster, Met Éireann has given indications that early Saturday morning weather will be warm and largely dry, however, showery rain is expected to start moving into the south and move up across the country at some point.
Later on Saturday, a slightly more showery but quite humid airmass will be introduced.
Overall Met Eireann said that Saturday will bring a mix of sunny spells and scattered showers, however, "some may be thundery in nature also" as temperatures remain in the 20Cs.
On the current outlook for next week, Met Éireann said: "Staying warm and quite humid into early next week with good sunny spells and the chance of some afternoon thundery showers at times. Maximum temperatures generally in the low to mid-20s."
This unsettled weather is not sticking around, with Met Éireann confirming Sunday will be another warm and humid day with a mix of sunny spells and scattered showers, some may be thundery in nature also. Winds will be mostly light and variable, offering little relief from the humid conditions and highest temperatures of 21C to 24C.
The forecaster added: "Staying warm and quite humid into early next week with good sunny spells and the chance of some afternoon thundery showers at times. Maximum temperatures generally in the low to mid-20s."
