Ireland manager Stephen Kenny will return to the Parc des Princes this September - almost 17 years to the day when his Derry City side took on the might of Paris St Germain at the famous venue.
But it’s bad news for Ireland fans, who will be forced to scramble for tickets for the September 7 Euro 2024 qualifier.
The French Football Federation on Thursday confirmed the 48,000-capacity venue as the setting for Ireland’s autumn visit.

With the 80,000-seater Stade de France unavailable for home games in September due to the hosting of the Rugby World Cup, the FFF went looking for an alternative venue.
They settled on the Parc des Princes at a meeting of the Executive Committee, which ended a consultation where 31 cities applied to host both competitive and friendly internationals this year.
Kenny’s Derry City took on PSG in September 2006, drawing 0-0 at the Brandywell and losing 2-0 in the return in Paris.
