Ireland AM’s Muireann O'Connell is bringing brunette back and co-star Alan Hughes “hated” it.
The television presenter returned to the Virgin Media show rocking a dark make-over after finishing yesterday’s programme with a completely different hair colour. She also said on Instagram co-star Alan Hughes teased her about her new look.
Muireann said that Alan asked her this morning “why d’you do that? It’s very dark.”

Her own mam also isn’t a fan of hew new look, she wrote. “Can you imagine him and my mother together?”
“I’ll be grey by Tuesday but I flipping love it,” Muireann said. Many of her 105k followers on Instagram loved it as well, no teasing involved.
Alan’s reaction was the complete opposite on air, however. Playing with her wavy hair, he said: "Who is that new brunette babe on the set? Loving the hair and a vision in red."
This is when Muireann revealed to Ireland AM viewers "Alan walked into the makeup room this morning and he looked at me and said, 'What's different?'
"Then he just said, 'Did you mean to do that?"
"I didn't say that!" Alan protested as he and the other presenters laughed.
