In a Berlin hotel cafe, an Iranian American human rights activist defiantly sang in Farsi, asserting her right to express herself despite recent revelations of murder-for-hire plots against her and former President Donald Trump. The activist, who was in Berlin to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, expressed her determination to continue advocating for women's rights in Iran.

The U.S. Justice Department disclosed that a man had been charged with planning the assassination of Trump on orders from an Iranian government official. Two other individuals were arrested for allegedly being recruited to surveil and kill the activist, who has faced multiple foiled murder-for-hire plots in the past.

The accused individuals conducted surveillance on the activist, shared progress updates, and exchanged messages about locating and killing her. Despite the alarming nature of the threats, the activist expressed gratitude for the protection provided by U.S. law enforcement.

Iranian Foreign Ministry dismisses report as an attempt to complicate Iran-U.S. relations.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman dismissed the report as a ploy by Israel-linked circles to complicate Iran-U.S. relations. The activist, known for her critical views on Iran, has been a vocal advocate for women's rights and has faced ongoing oppression from the Iranian government.

Having fled Iran in 2009 and becoming a U.S. citizen in 2019, the activist remains resolute in her mission to amplify the voices of women in Iran who continue to face oppression and violence on a daily basis.
