Iran strikes cargo ship in Strait of Hormuz

  • Iranian authorities warned that vessels not using approved routes would not be guaranteed safe passage, holding owners and operators responsible for any consequences.
  • Following the attack, eight more South Korean vessels exited the Strait of Hormuz, though five South Korean-operated ships with 47 crew members remain in the area.
