New reports indicate that the United States intelligence community has detected signs of growing unease among Iran's leadership regarding its proxy forces. This follows a drone attack on Sunday that resulted in the death of American service members, which appears to have caught Iran's leaders off guard and raised concerns among them.
In addition to the drone attack, it has been revealed that just a few days later, a cruise missile fired by Houthi rebels came perilously close to hitting a U.S. Navy destroyer, narrowly missing the vessel before being intercepted. This represents the closest the Houthi rebels have come to targeting an American warship.
