Flights in Iran resumed late on Sunday night after aviation restrictions were lifted just two hours after being imposed, as reported by state media. The Iran Civil Aviation Organization had initially announced the cancellation of flights at the country's airports overnight Sunday into Monday, with partial closure of its airspace due to 'military exercises' scheduled nightly until at least October 9.
The temporary restrictions were put in place ahead of the first anniversary of the Hamas attacks on Israel and amidst Israel's considerations for retaliation following an Iranian missile barrage last week.
