A top Iranian official again escalated the rhetoric against the U.S. as tensions remain elevated ahead of the midterms in early November.

Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) chief Ali Ozmaei said on Wednesday that Tehran is "impatient to sink American warships."
