IPL matches in Bengaluru under NGT scanner

NGT IPL Bengaluru The National Green Tribunal Cricket KSCA Karnataka New Delhi the M Chinnaswamy Stadium

NEW DELHI: In the wake of the escalating water crisis in the city, the National Green Tribunal (NGT) has directed the Karnataka State Cricket Association and other relevant state authorities to provide information regarding the water usage at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium during the IPL matches in Bengaluru.

In addition to the state cricket association, the NGT has also summoned the Bengaluru Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) and the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) to furnish details regarding the volume and origin of the water being utilized. The deadline for submission of these particulars is set for May 2.
