The unsold Shardul Thakur turned lucky when Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) roped him in as replacement for left-arm pacer Mohsin Khan just before the start of the 2025 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL); and the pace-bowling all-rounder justified that with a match-winning spell of 4 for 34 in his side's five-wicket win over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Thursday.

After the match, Thakur called for tracks where bowlers don't feel hard done by.
