The IPL 2025 auction landscape became more defined after all ten franchises disclosed their retained players on Thursday. Among the total 46 players retained across teams, only two franchises - Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals - utilised their maximum limit of six retentions.
Punjab Kings took a minimalist approach, keeping just two uncapped players, which consequently gives them the largest available budget for the upcoming auction.
