NEW DELHI: The most popular player to come out of northeast India, Riyan Parag, is likely to receive a hero's welcome from his home supporters on Wednesday when the Rajasthan Royals take on the Punjab Kings in their penultimate league match in Guwahati, hoping to secure a spot in the IPL play-offs.
The Royals, who have 16 points and are ranked second out of 10 teams, must win one of their next two "home" games in Guwahati. That will guarantee a spot in the last four.
