IPL 2022, RR vs KKR: Wanted to bowl googly but changed my mind, says Yuzvendra Chahal after hat-trick helps Rajasthan Royals beat Kolkata Knight Riders

Yuzvendra Chahal Rajasthan Royals Kolkata Knight Riders KKR IPL Shreyas Iyer Aaron Finch Venkatesh Iyer Mumbai

MUMBAI: Rajasthan Royals spinner Yuzvendra Chahal said his googly was coming well but he decided to go for a safer option on the delivery that bagged him his first hat-trick in the IPL and helped his team to a 7-run win against Kolkata Knight Riders on Monday.

Chahal, who was declared the Player of the Match, overshadowed some brilliant batting by Shreyas Iyer (85) and Aaron Finch (58) to claim his first hat-trick in IPL. Having dismissed Nitish Rana and Venkatesh Iyer earlier, the 31-year-old from Haryana claimed a brilliant 5/40 for his best figures of this season.
