iPhone 17 Air has a major rival already – and it's not the one you're thinking of

Android Tecno Apple Samsung
Tecno Spark Slim.
Quick Summary

Tecno has announced a svelte Android smartphone in its Slim range. With Spark and Pova varieties, the new handset comes in around 5.95mm thick.

Exactly how much it will cost and where you'll be able to buy it remains something of a mystery.

We're entering a new era of thin phones, with Samsung stealing the lead with the Galaxy S25 Edge and Apple expected to introduce the iPhone 17 Air next week. But it's not only huge global brands making waves with skinny phones – an unexpected rival was shown off at IFA 2025.
