Iowa’s Caitlin Clark Swaps Jerseys With Chiefs’ Rashee Rice

In a surprise crossover at Arrowhead Stadium for Week 16’s Las Vegas Raiders-Kansas City Chiefs matchup on Christmas Day, game recognized game: Iowa women’s basketball star Caitlin Clark swapped jerseys with Chiefs wideout Rashee Rice.

Clark, the reigning AP Player of the Year, was spotted on the field before the game rocking a Chiefs T-shirt and was later photographed trading autographed jerseys with Rice.

She also got some face-to-face time with pass-rusher Chris Jones, who had helped get Clark tickets for her first game at Arrowhead Stadium when the Chiefs played the Seattle Seahawks on Christmas Eve in 2022.

Clark also was invited into the Arrowhead press box, where she met CBS commentators Jim Nantz and Tony Romo.

Clark was the first college athlete to appear on ESPN’s ManningCast when the Philadelphia Eagles’ enjoyed a 21—17 win over the Chiefs in Week 11.

On the broadcast, Clark talked briefly about her lifelong Chiefs fandom and also compared Kansas City’s offense this season to that of Iowa: “I think it’s kind of similar to how we run offense. Good point guard, good post player. Good quarterback, great tight end. You know, they’re fun to watch.”

Clark is averaging a nation-best 30.5 points per game this season, in addition to 7.5 rebounds and 7.4 assists for the Hawkeyes.

The Chiefs are looking to clinch the AFC West title and a home playoff game with a win over Las Vegas on Monday.
