The iOS 18 public beta has finally arrived, ending more than a month of developer exclusivity. That means the rest of us get our first taste of how iOS 18 will change the iPhone experience. While the beta won’t feature every upgrade coming to iOS 18 it does mean users will have access to beta versions of features like the brand new Control Center, the all-new password app, the ability to hide apps from prying eyes and so much more.
Sadly, the likes of Apple Intelligence and the changes to Apple Mail aren’t live yet — and likely won’t appear until the final release of iOS 18 sometime this fall. Also note that this is beta software, and things aren’t necessarily going to run smoothly. Certainly not right away. If you’d rather have a less problematic experience with iOS 18 you’re better off waiting until the stable release. If you’re happy with those compromises — or you have a spare iPhone — then the iOS 18 beta is yours for the taking.
