NEW DELHI: The Executive Council members of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) have decided not to accept the dearness allowance, which is higher than what athletes receive for the Paris Olympics. They expressed concern that accepting such payments could damage their public image. Instead, they will make their own arrangements.
It's worth noting that the IOA EC stated they are not reliant on government funds for their travel abroad, as all members come from financially stable backgrounds.
