After two years of postponement the Invictus Games will return to the Netherlands.
The long-anticipated tournament will see Harry and Meghan in attendance, a spokesperson for the couple confirmed on Monday.
This will mark the Duchess’s first Europe visit since the couple’s step down as working royals more than two years ago.
The Duke of Sussex, who started the games in 2014, has announced details of Games in the run up to the event.

What are the Invictus Games?
The Invictus Games, of which Prince Harry is a private patron, is a Paralympic style event for wounded and veteran servicemen and women.
There are set to be 500 competitors from 20 countries, where sport is used “to inspire recovery, support rehabilitation and generate a wider understanding and respect for wounded, injured and sick Servicemen and women”.
What does the Invictus Games mean?
“Invictus” means “unconquered” or “undefeated” in Latin.
Amputee William Ernest Henley’s 1875 poem “Invictus” captures the spirit of the event, organisers said.
Henley’s 16 line poem expresses his battle with poor health and has been noted at Nelson Mandela’s favourite poem.
Prince Harry spearheaded the Invictus Games, inspired by the US Warrior Games in Colorado after seeing the impact of sports in aiding recovery of injuries.
When are the Invictus Games?
The fifth annual Games are taking place from Saturday 16 April to Friday 22 April.
Its return after being delayed by the pandemic, as dozens of UK competitors set off for the Netherlands on Thursday.
Where will the Invictus Games take place?
The games will kick off in the Hague, Netherlands this Spring – after two years of postponed tournaments due to Covid-19.
There are four locations with planned activities in and around the Zuiderpark in the Hague.
The fan zone is open every day from 9am to 7pm for those attending in person.
How to watch?
Coverage in the UK has been confirmed by BBC One in a six-part series.
The first show aired on Sunday April 17 from 4.20pm to 5.20pm.
Hosted by Alex Jones and JJ Chalmers, the show will include highlights of the Opening Ceremony, the first day of athletics and interviews with Team UK members.
What teams will be playing?
Participants will be taking part in ten sports including athletics, weightlifting, archery, indoor rowing, wheelchair basketball, wheelchair rugby, cycling, sitting volleyball, swimming and the Land Rover Driving Challenge.
Due to the event being delayed, a few members of the British team have changed.
