Invicta FC 54 results: Danni McCormack retains title by technical submission, calls to UFC’s Mick Maynard

Invicta FC 54 took place Friday evening and you can watch a replay of the full event on MMA Junkie.

The five-fight event at Citizens House of Blues in Boston featured a strawweight title fight at the top of the bill. Champion Danni McCormack out of SBG Ireland put her belt on the line for the first time against Karolina Wojcik. The belt will return to Ireland after McCormack won by technical submission at 1:22 of Round 4.

McCormack (8-2 MMA, 3-0 INVICTA) brought the fight to Wojcik (11-4 MMA, 2-2 INVICTA) from the start, making it rough in the clinch. Wojcik found a home for a few counters, but dealing with constant pressure from the champion made things tough.
