The discovery of a woman's body in "unexplained circumstances" at a home in Co Louth has sparked an investigation.
The woman, about whom no details have been revealed, was found deceased at a residence in the Bridge Street area of Dundalk yesterday evening, Wednesday May 24.
The scene remains preserved this morning as experts from the Garda Technical Bureau conduct a technical examination.

A subsequent post-mortem is set to inform the direction of the Garda investigation.
A Garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí are investigating the discovery of a body of a woman in unexplained circumstances at a residence in Bridge Street, Dundalk, County Louth, on the evening of Wednesday 24th May 2023.
"The scene is currently preserved for technical examination by the Garda Technical Bureau. A post-mortem examination will be conducted at a later date and this will determine the course of the Garda investigation.
"No further information is available at this time."
