A very rare brain tumour discovered in 65 people linked to the same school in the US has sparked an investigation. Al Lupiano, who attended Colonia High School, Woodbridge, New Jersey, started to research the cancer cases of the cancer and was shocked by what he found.
His interest started as he was diagnosed with the incredibly rare cancer 20 years ago. When other family members were also affected by the disease, which affects the left side of the brain, Al began to look into what was happening.
The environmental scientist went on to find that 65 sufferers had gone to his school, reports the Mirror. Al said that he lost his sister to stage 4 glioblastoma. She was diagnosed in August last year.
