Investigation into Glasgow flat fire that claimed life of Tommy Sheridan's mum

A joint-investigation has been launched into a fatal fire at a multi-storey flat in Cardonald that claimed the life of Tommy Sheridan's mum, Alice.

The 84-year-old tragically died inside her Invergyle Drive flat on Sunday evening as firefighters rushed to put out the blaze.

Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) were called to reports of a 'dwelling fire' at around 7.49pm on March 12. Four fire appliances and one aerial appliance were sent to the scene.
