Intimate return date two months in advance: Government

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Government has said that officers (including the IAS and IPS), who are on long leaves, deputations or sabbaticals, should intimate their rejoining date two months in advance and not on the last day of their leave. Else, the period between the date of joining service and issuing fresh posting orders will be treated as further leave.

As per the circular issued by additional chief secretary (finance) Rajesh Kumar Singh, if they fail to do as told, the number of days between the day on which the officer reports back on duty after the leave period and the day on which the posting orders are issued will not be treated as ‘on duty’, but will be considered as leave or leave without allowance.
