Blake Lively staged one of the most polarising red carpet returns in Met Gala history on 4 May 2026, arriving at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York just hours after settling a nearly two-year legal battle with her It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni.

The Gossip Girl star made her first appearance at fashion's biggest night since 2022, choosing a pastel archival Atelier Versace gown and remaining entirely silent on the settlement as she walked the carpet.
