The new interim chief executive of Mid and East Antrim Borough Council is being employed at a rate of £1,060 per day.
Mark Parkinson will also have his expenses covered including flights to and from his home in Britain and hotel accommodation when staying in Northern Ireland, sources told Belfast Live.
The Swansea native has been recruited to the role following the suspension in December of council boss Anne Donaghy during a probe into bullying and harassment allegations.
