Everything that could go wrong for Georgia QB Carson Beck did in the first half on Saturday at Alabama.
The Heisman contender suffered through a bad 30 minutes. He threw a pair of interceptions, a third pass could have been picked by the Crimson Tide, and then … Beck was pressured in the end zone and unloaded a pass.
Problem was no one was in the vicinity of the throw. The officials got together and decided it was intentional grounding.
Since the penalty occurred in the end zone, that meant it was a safety and Alabama’s lead increased by two points to 30-7
