In July 1979, in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Paul McCartney was asked about what music he was listening to that year. He liked Squeeze, The Jam and Elvis Costello, he said, but he singled out two songs in particular.
One was Lord Lucan Is Missing by Brighton punk band The Dodgems. The other, slightly more serious choice, was a Grammy and Ivor Novello Award-winning track that went top 10 both sides of the Atlantic, was no.1 for two weeks in Canada, and became Supertramp's biggest hit: The Logical Song.
